We design, build and look after school websites. A school site serves prospective parents, current families, pupils, staff and alumni at once, and carries hundreds of pages of policies, term dates and admissions detail. We built the four-hundred-page Wellingborough School website from a blank page and look after it month to month, so the school's team only ever touches the words and the pictures.
In plain English
A school website has more jobs than most business sites. Prospective parents, current families, staff, pupils and old boys and girls all arrive at the same front door wanting different things. The site has to carry hundreds of pages of policy, term dates and admissions detail without losing the warmth of the place. Marbl Codes designs, builds and looks after school websites with that in mind.
Wellingborough School is a co-educational independent day school founded in 1595. We built their website from a blank page in WordPress and Elementor, not from a theme.
Custom post types hold the content a school publishes on a rhythm, so the office adds an entry and the right pages update themselves. The navigation is hand-coded, written for a site with four hundred pages and five audiences, so each finds its part of the school in a click. Open day and admissions enquiries route straight to the school office. Behind it, the hosting, caching and security are ours to run.
By making the next step obvious for a prospective parent. Open day booking front and centre at the right time of year, a clear picture of daily life, and an enquiry route that reaches the admissions team without friction. On a school site the work we keep coming back to is keeping that journey short.
Term dates, open day bookings, policy documents and news arrive as they come up. We make each change, check it on the page, keep WordPress and every plugin current, and keep an eye on speed and security in between. The school no longer thinks about hosting, backups or whether the site will be up on open day morning.
With a conversation about your school, your audiences and what the current site makes hard. From there we write a short plan and a price, before anything is designed or built.

Straight answers
Clear routes for each audience, an admissions journey with open day booking front and centre, news and events, term dates, the policies and statutory information a school publishes, contact details and a strong sense of the place. The hard part is organising hundreds of pages so every visitor finds theirs quickly.
Yes. We build the content the office publishes regularly, such as news, events and term dates, as simple entries that appear in the right places automatically. Anything bigger, you send to us.
Yes. The Wellingborough School site is a bespoke WordPress and Elementor build with custom post types and hand-coded navigation, which lets the school team edit visually while the structure stays solid.
We do. Hosting, backups, updates, security and the changes the school sends us, month to month, so nobody at the school has to become the website person.
