Help, one tap away
A route to support that is always obvious, designed for someone on a phone who needs help now.

We design, build and look after charity websites. A charity site has to get someone who needs help to the right page fast, often on a phone, while telling the charity's story and making giving easy. For Northampton Hope Centre we restructured the site so people in crisis find help in one click, and connected the donation journey to their CRM.
In plain English
A charity website has to do three things at once: get someone who needs help to the right place quickly, tell the story of the work, and make it easy to give. It usually has to do them with a small team and a tight budget. Marbl Codes designs, builds and looks after charity websites built around the people the charity serves first.
Northampton Hope Centre supports people facing homelessness, hunger and hardship. Their old site had grown a page at a time until the people it existed for could not find the help they needed.
We rebuilt it with a “get help” route that is always one tap away, and organised the rest around how the charity works rather than how it is staffed. We built templates for audio and video stories the team can add themselves. Behind the forms and donation pages, we connected their CRM, so every donor and enquiry lands where the team can act on it. Kyra Williams, who looks after their external relations, described the result as having “already proved profitable” within weeks of launch.
Because every extra step loses supporters. A short, clear donation route that works well on a phone, and details that arrive in the CRM without anyone retyping them, means more money raised and more time spent on the work rather than the admin.
Charities change what they offer as need changes. We build the site so the team can publish news, stories and events without us, and we look after the hosting, updates, security and the parts that need a developer. After launch we also provide tutorials and guidance, so the team is confident doing more themselves.
With a conversation about the people you serve, the story you tell and what the current site makes hard. From there we write a short plan and a price, before anything is designed or built.

Hosting, updates and the monthly changes handled by us, with the search results watched and reported in plain English.
He took on board all the issues we had with our old site and completely understood the brief. The site needed a restructure making it easier for people needing support to find the help they need quickly and easily, he came up with some fantastic ideas to make the new site intuitive and easy to navigate.
Straight answers
The people the charity exists for. Someone facing a crisis on a phone does not browse, so the route to help must be obvious on every page. After that, a clear story of the work, easy ways to give and volunteer, and the information funders and partners look for.
