Richard Bland, founder of Marbl CodesA few words from RichardFounder, Marbl Codes

Hey, how are you, whatcha doing, and how can I help you?

I say that to every new client I meet, and I mean all three parts. We’re not your typical website designer or developer, and I have never once managed to call us an “agency” with a straight face.

We’re not a marketing company. We’re not a social media company. Honestly, we don’t love calling ourselves a web design company either. lol

I lead with it because when we work with a business, we usually end up involved in a lot more than the website. That’s the one thing I’d like you to take away from this opener.

Me, the team, all of us: we get sh*t done online. Whatever that turns out to be.

What Marbl is, is simple. It’s our passions and our expertise, woven into a business support service for fellow passionate business owners, so you look better, perform better and do better things online.

That’s Marbl Codes. Your business, online, looked after. All day, every day.

Richard, Founder

Who, what, and why

Let’s keep this short and sweet.

My name is Richard. I wrote my first HTML and CSS at 12, which is 28 years ago and counting, a number I have decided not to think about too hard.

My brother, who sadly passed away, was my biggest source of IT inspiration. He slid a big yellow book across my desk, HTML for Dummies, and said: go build something great. I’m still doing as I was told.

Nearly three decades later, after a handful of agency roles here and in London, in website design, development, email marketing, conversion and customer journey optimisation, and general webmastering, I stepped out and launched my first web business.

That was right around the first year of my brother’s cancer battle. The timing was no accident. I wanted the hours to be with him, and with the new family my wife and I were starting.

Marbl is freedom, for me and for my team. It lets us follow our passions and earn a living without giving up the moments that matter with our families. That’s the goal, and it’s the drive for everyone I surround myself with.

The team came together through mutual respect, admiration, and a healthy habit of borrowing each other’s talents. We’ve worked together for years, across a lot of projects.

This is the business I wanted, and it works. We’re not about volume, wham bam, thank you ma’am. We form partnerships with our clients that are strategic, long, and good for both sides.

It’s why, twelve years on from MEM Digital, now Marbl Codes, we still have the same clients.
